| Abstract: | This research aimed to study the purchasing behavior of fashion clothing on online platforms among consumers in Bangkok Metropolitan Area. The objectives were to examine the level of importance of marketing mix factors affecting purchasing decisions and to compare the differences in the importance of these factors according to consumer characteristics.
This study employed a survey research design. A questionnaire was used as the research instrument for data collection. The sample consisted of 100 consumers who live in Bangkok and have experience purchasing fashion clothing through online platforms. The samples were selected using Accidental Sampling. The questionnaire consisted of four sections personal information of respondents, purchasing behavior of fashion clothing on online platforms, marketing mix factors influencing purchasing decisions, and open-ended suggestions. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics including frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. Inferential statistics included t-test and One-way ANOVA, with pairwise comparisons conducted using Scheffe’s method.
The results revealed that most respondents were female, aged 18–25, held a bachelor's degree, were private company employees, and earned a monthly income of 15,001–25,000 Baht. Their primary purchasing platform was Shopee, with a frequency of 1–2 times per month and an average spending of 301–800 Baht per purchase
The level of importance of marketing mix factors (7Ps) was overall at a high level (Mean = 3.74). All seven factors were rated at a high level, ranked by mean scores as follows Physical Evidence (Mean = 3.78), Process (Mean = 3.75), Place (Mean = 3.74), Product (Mean = 3.73), Price (Mean = 3.73), People (Mean = 3.71), and Promotion (Mean = 3.71)
The results of hypothesis testing revealed that differences in gender did not lead to statistically significant differences in the overall importance assigned to the marketing mix factors at the 0.05 level. Regarding age, no significant differences were found in the overall perspective. However, when considering individual items, statistically significant differences at the 0.05 level were identified in terms of prompt customer response and product packaging neatness. Specifically, respondents under 18 years old placed greater importance on packaging neatness compared to those aged 36–45 years. Furthermore, differences in education level, occupation, and average monthly income did not result in statistically significant differences in the overall importance given to marketing mix factors at the 0.05 level.
