Abstract

Environmental Factors that Promote the Safety of Restroom Use in Public Buildings for Gender Diverse Individuals. This quantitative study aims to explore the factors contributing to the safety of restroom use among gender-diverse individuals. It analyzes environment that supports safe restroom usage, and examines demographic characteristics, behaviors, frequency, and distribution patterns within this population, by using questionnaires to collect data from 400 participants selected through non-probability sampling. The research investigates both demographic and environmental factors influencing perceptions of restroom safety among gender-diverse individuals. Findings show that most participants were assigned female at birth, with over half identifying as non-binary or opting not to disclose a specific gender identity. A statistically significant correlation was found between gender identity and perceptions of safe restroom environments, indicating that gender plays a key role in shaping feelings of safety in public restroom spaces. This research can serve as a recommendation for the development of restroom facilities that promote safety for gender-diverse individuals.

ปัจจัยของสภาพแวดล้อมที่ส่งเสริมความปลอดภัยการใช้ห้องน้ำภายในอาคารสาธารณะสำหรับผู้มีความหลากหลายทางเพศ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสำรวจปัจจัยที่นำไปสู่ความปลอดภัยในการใช้ห้องน้ำสำหรับผู้มีความหลากหลายทางเพศ เพื่อวิเคราะห์สภาพแวดล้อมที่ส่งเสริมความปลอดภัยการใช้ห้องน้ำสำหรับผู้มีความหลากหลายทางเพศ และเพื่อศึกษาลักษณะข้อมูลทั่วไปของกลุ่มตัวอย่าง พฤติกรรม การใช้ห้องน้ำ ความถี่และร้อยละของกลุ่มผู้มีความหลากหลายทางเพศ ใช้ระเบียบวิจัยเชิงปริมาณ (Quantitative Research) เก็บข้อมูลแบบสอบถามและวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงสถิติจากกลุ่มตัวอย่าง แบ่งตามช่วงอายุในแต่ละช่วงวัย จำนวน 400 คน ซึ่งใช้วิธีการคัดเลือกกลุ่มตัวอย่างโดยการสุ่มแบบไม่เจาะจง (Non-Probability Sampling) โดยศึกษาปัจจัยข้อมูลทั่วไปและปัจจัยของสภาพแวดล้อมที่ส่งเสริมความปลอดภัยการใช้ห้องน้ำสาธารณะของผู้มีความหลากหลายทางเพศ ผลการวิจัยปัจจัยด้านข้อมูลทั่วไป พบว่า ผู้มีความหลากหลายส่วนใหญ่เป็นเพศหญิง อัตลักษณ์ทางเพศเกินกว่าครึ่งเป็นไม่ระบุเพศ ปัจจัยที่ส่งเสริมความปลอดภัยในการใช้ห้องน้ำภายในอาคารสาธารณะสำหรับผู้มีความหลากหลายทางเพศ พบว่า เพศของผู้ตอบแบบสอบถามสัมพันธ์กับลักษณะของห้องน้ำภายในอาคารสาธารณะที่รู้สึกปลอดภัยอย่างมีนัยสำคัญ งานวิจัยนี้สามารถใช้เป็นข้อเสนอแนะในการสร้างห้องน้ำที่ส่งเสริมความปลอดภัยการใช้ห้องน้ำสำหรับผู้มีความหลากหลายทางเพศ
