Guidelines for Reducing Food Waste in the Power Generation Industry Based on Employees' Attitudes

Abstract

The objective of this research is to study methods for reducing food waste in the power generation industry, focusing on the attitudes of employees in establishments within the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC). A questionnaire was used to collect data from a sample of 211 respondents. Data analysis included basic statistical methods such as percentage, mean, and standard deviation, as well as one-way ANOVA and Scheffe’s test, with a significance level set at 0.05.The results indicated that the majority of respondents were male, aged between 23-39 years, and held supervisory positions with less than 10 years of work experience. Their average income was above 45,000 baht per month. Most establishments had been operating for 10-20 years and were large businesses with more than 200 employees.Regarding the importance of food waste reduction strategies, it was found that overall, these strategies were considered highly significant. When categorized by specific aspects, the strategies of reducing waste generation (Reduce), maximizing resource use (Reuse), and recycling (Recycle) were all rated as highly important, in that order.

การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาวิธีการลดขยะอาหารในอุตสาหกรรมพลังงานไฟฟ้า โดยสำรวจทัศนคติของพนักงานในสถานประกอบการในเขตพื้นที่ EEC โดยใช้แบบสอบถามเป็นเครื่องมือในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลจากกลุ่มตัวอย่างจำนวน 211 ราย การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลใช้สถิติค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ค่าส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน การเปรียบเทียบความแตกต่างของค่าเฉลี่ย (t-test) การวิเคราะห์ความแปรปรวนทางเดียว (ANOVA) การวิเคราะห์ความแตกต่างของค่าเฉลี่ยเป็นรายคู่ (Scheffe)ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1) ผู้ตอบแบบสอบถามส่วนใหญ่เป็นเพศชาย อายุระหว่าง 23-39 ปี และทำงานในตำแหน่งระดับหัวหน้างาน มีอายุงานต่ำกว่า 10 ปี และมีรายได้เฉลี่ยมากกว่า 45,000 บาทต่อเดือน สถานประกอบการมีระยะเวลาในการดำเนินกิจการ 10-20 ปีเป็นกลุ่มที่มีมากที่สุด โดยส่วนใหญ่เป็นสถานประกอบการขนาดใหญ่ที่มีจำนวนบุคลากรมากกว่า 200 คน 2) ผู้ตอบแบบสอบถามให้ระดับความสำคัญโดยภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับสำคัญมาก เมื่อจำแนกเป็นรายด้านพบว่า ด้านการหลีกเลี่ยงการก่อให้เกิดขยะ ด้านการเพิ่มประโยชน์ ด้านการรีไซเคิล และด้านการนำกลับมาใช้ใหม่ อยู่ในระดับมากทั้งหมดเรียงตามลำดับ 3) ผลการทดสอบสมมติฐาน ปัจจัยส่วนบุคคลของพนักงานในสถานประกอบการแตกต่างกันส่งผลต่อแนวทางการจัดการขยะอาหารในอุตสาหกรรมพลังงานไฟฟ้า แตกต่างกันจำแนกตามเพศ ตำแหน่งงาน รายได้โดยเฉลี่ย ระยะเวลาในการดำเนินกิจการของสถานประกอบการ ขนาดของสถานประกอบการที่ทำงาน
