Factors Affecting the Success of the Large Clear Water Tank Construction Projects : A Case Study of the Lat Phrao, the Samrong, the Min Buri, and the Lat Krabang Pumping Station

Abstract

This thesis aims to investigate the factors influencing the success of large-scale clear water storage tank construction projects, to prioritize these factors, and to propose guidelines for enhancing project success. The study focuses on case studies of pumping stations in Lat Phrao, Samrong, Min Buri, and Lat Krabang. The sample consists of 50 respondents, including project owners, consultants, and contractors with experience in construction management and project operations. The research instrument was a questionnaire, and the data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including percentage, mean, standard deviation, and one-way analysis of variance (One-Way ANOVA). The results indicate that all factors influencing project success are rated at a high level of importance. The most significant factor is organizational commitment, followed by project manager competency, team member competency, project technology, and project management processes. Key sub-factors include the project manager’s experience, team commitment and capability, adequacy of personnel, and appropriate selection of the project manager. The analysis of variance reveals that differences in age, job position, work experience, and organizational affiliation do not significantly affect overall opinions on success factors. However, differences in workplace and educational level significantly influence certain aspects at the 0.05 level. In conclusion, the success of large-scale clear water storage tank construction projects primarily depends on organizational commitment, along with the competencies of the project manager and team members. Therefore, relevant organizations should emphasize organizational support, appropriate selection of experienced project managers, personnel development, and the application of technology to improve project efficiency and success in future construction projects.

สารนิพนธ์ฉบับนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อความสำเร็จของโครงการก่อสร้างอาคารถังเก็บน้ำใสขนาดใหญ่ จัดลำดับความสำคัญ และเสนอแนะแนวทางในการเสริมสร้างความสำเร็จของโครงการ กรณีศึกษาสถานีสูบจ่ายน้ำลาดพร้าว สำโรง มีนบุรี และลาดกระบัง กลุ่มตัวอย่างจำนวน 50 คน ประกอบด้วยเจ้าของงาน ที่ปรึกษาโครงการ และผู้รับจ้าง ซึ่งมีประสบการณ์ด้านการบริหารและดำเนินงานก่อสร้างภายในโครงการ เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยคือแบบสอบถาม และวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยสถิติเชิงพรรณนา ได้แก่ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ค่าส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และการวิเคราะห์ความแปรปรวนทางเดียว (One Way ANOVA) ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ปัจจัยที่ส่งผลต่อความสำเร็จของโครงการทุกด้านมีความสำคัญอยู่ในระดับมาก โดยด้านที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงสุดคือความมุ่งมั่นขององค์กรโครงการ รองลงมา ได้แก่ ความสามารถของผู้จัดการโครงการ ความสามารถของสมาชิกทีมโครงการ และเทคโนโลยี ของโครงการ กระบวนการบริหารโครงการ ปัจจัยย่อยสำคัญ ได้แก่ ประสบการณ์ของผู้จัดการโครงการ ความมุ่งมั่นและความสามารถของทีมงาน มีบุคลากรเพียงพอสำหรับการดำเนินงาน และการคัดเลือกผู้จัดการโครงการอย่างเหมาะสม ทั้งนี้ อายุ ตำแหน่งงาน ประสบการณ์การทำงาน และสังกัดหน่วยงานที่แตกต่างกันไม่ส่งผลให้ความคิดเห็นแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ ขณะที่สถานที่ทำงานและวุฒิการศึกษาที่แตกต่างกันส่งผลต่อความคิดเห็นบางด้านอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ 0.05 สรุปได้ว่า ความสำเร็จของโครงการขึ้นอยู่กับความมุ่งมั่นขององค์กร ควบคู่กับความสามารถของผู้จัดการโครงการและทีมงาน โดยหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง ควรให้ความสำคัญกับการสนับสนุนจากองค์กร การคัดเลือกผู้จัดการโครงการที่มีประสบการณ์ การพัฒนาศักยภาพบุคลากร และการประยุกต์ใช้เทคโนโลยีเพื่อเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพและความสำเร็จของโครงการในอนาคต
