Development of an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) Skill Training Program for Vocational Certificate Students in Automotive Engineering

Abstract

This research aims to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) skill training kit. Additionally, it seeks to compare students’ learning achievement using the ABS skill training kit against a predetermined criterion. The sample group consisted of 20 first-year students from the Automotive Technology program at Wichian Buri Industrial and Community Education College, selected through a cluster random sampling method. The research instruments used for data collection included: 1) a record form for identifying problems and solutions in teaching and learning management, 2) the ABS skill training kit, 3) an appropriateness assessment form with a content validity range of 0.60–1.00, and 4) a skill assessment form with the same content validity range and an inter-rater reliability score of 0.78. Data analysis involved content analysis, calculation of mean and standard deviation, and statistical hypothesis testing using the t-test. The research findings indicated that the overall appropriateness of the ABS skill training kit was rated at the highest level (= 4.83, S.D. = 0.38). The effectiveness of the ABS skill training kit was measured at 82.12/84.58, surpassing the predetermined criterion of 80/80. Furthermore, the comparison of students’ practical skills after using the ABS skill training kit showed that their performance exceeded the 80% benchmark with statistical significance at the 0.05 level. These results suggest that the ABS skill training kit effectively enhances students' practical skills.

งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อ 1) เพื่อพัฒนาและหาประสิทธิภาพชุดฝึกทักษะระบบป้องกันเบรกล็อค 2) เพื่อเปรียบเทียบผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียนของนักเรียนที่เรียนด้วยชุดฝึกทักษะระบบป้องกันเบรกล็อค เทียบกับเกณฑ์ กลุ่มตัวอย่าง ได้แก่นักเรียนระดับประกาศนียบัตรวิชาชีพ (ปวช.) ชั้นปีที่ 1 สาขาวิชาช่างยนต์ วิทยาลัยการอาชีพวิเชียรบุรี จำนวน 20 คน ได้มาโดยวิธีสุ่มแบบกลุ่ม เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล คือ 1) แบบบันทึกสภาพปัญและแนวทางการแก้ปัญหาการจัดการเรียนการสอน 2) ชุดฝึกทักษะ 3) แบบประเมินความเหมาะสม มีความตรงเชิงเนื้อหาตั้งแต่ 0.60-1.00 4) แบบประเมินทักษะมีความตรงเชิงเนื้อหาตั้งแต่ 0.60-1.00 และค่าความเชื่อมั่นจากการสังเกตของเกณฑ์การประเมินระหว่าง ผู้ประเมิน เท่ากับ 0.78 การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล คือการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และสถิติทดสอบค่าที ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ความเหมาะสมของชุดฝึกทักษะระบบป้องกันเบรกล็อค โดยภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด (=4.83, S.D.= 0.38) ประสิทธิภาพของชุดฝึกทักษะระบบป้องกันเบรกล็อค เท่ากับ 83.40/85.86 สูงกว่าเกณฑ์ที่กำหนด 80/80 และผลการเปรียบเทียบทักษะการปฏิบัติงานของนักเรียนหลังการใช้ชุดฝึกทักษะระบบป้องกันเบรกล็อค สูงกว่าเกณฑ์ร้อยละ 80 อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ 0.05
